CSI Div 4 Masonry
The Construction Specification Institute’s Master Format™ is the specification writing standard for most commercial building design and construction projects in North America. http://www.csinet.org/s_csi/index.asp
CSI Division 4 contents relate to the work results, requirements, products and activities as it relates to MASONRY. Greenstreak products discussed within this section are for controlling and reinforcing cracks in masonry walls.
Masonry walls are subject to cracking for many reasons such as temperature or shrinkage induced changes or load stresses. Regardless of the reason, cracks must be controlled to maintain moisture resistance and appearance. Masonry Control Joints, control cracks by providing a vertical stress-relieving joint in the masonry wall while maintaining adequate shear strength for lateral wall stability.
